At Central United Methodist Church, we have a strong and growing music program that focuses on God and offers something for everyone!
Chancel Choir
Our Chancel Choir leads the congregation in worshiping God through music at the 11:00 a.m. worship service. It is opened to all youth and adults who enjoy singing. It is a great time for learning music, praising God, and enjoying fellowship. We sing a large variety of music in many different styles, including classical, gospel, contemporary, and spirituals, etc. We also provides a service of special music during the Easter season and the Christmas season. We have sung in numerous community events. Anyone is welcomed to join the Chancel Choir. Our rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the choir room.
The Table Praise Band
Our Praise Band leads the congregation in worship through music at the 9:00 a.m. worship service which takes place in the Fellowship Hall. We are actively seeking singers and acoustic instrumentalists to join us as we praise God through many genres of music: gospel, praise and worship, traditional hymns and contemporary Christian. In addition, the Band accompanies the Table outreach into the community providing music in places like the local laundromat, nursing homes, and other community venues. The Band typically practices on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
